Dr. Nathalie Galais



Nathalie Galais studied psychology at the University of Gießen and the Autónoma University of Madrid. She graduated in 1996, and then received her doctoral degree in 2003. Currently, she is a research fellow at the Department of Organizational and Social Psychology at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg. Her main research interests include the worker-organization relationship in non-standard work-arrangements, effects of contingent work-status on the team climate, and workers’ identity formation. She has conducted research on skill-development and the health-outcomes of different groups of contingent workers for Federal Institutes such as the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training and the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. She is also currently a part of the interdisciplinary research project FlexPro (“Managing the flexibilization of production systems”) sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and investigates the competence-development and the social integration of temporary agency workers into small and medium-sized production companies.
