Dr. Daniel Kühnle



Daniel Kuehnle has been a researcher at the Chair of Statistics and Empirical Economics at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg (Prof. Regina Riphahn, Ph.D.) since October 2011. He holds prior degrees in Economics and Politics (B.A.) from the University of Leeds and in Development Economics and Policy from the University of Manchester (U.K.). He received his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg in 2014 for his thesis "Essays on the economics of well-being: microeconometric analyses of health and life satisfaction".

His recent research includes papers on mental health and unemployment, smoking bans, and the socio-economic gradient in health and education. He has published articles in journals such as Journal of Health Economics and Industrial Relations: A Journal of the Economy and Society.
