Christian Merkl is a professor of economics at the
Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg. He is a guest professor at
the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and a Research Fellow of IZA. From
2007 to 2010 he was assistant professor at the Christian Albrechts
University, Kiel, and the head of the research group Monetary Policy at the
Kiel Institute for the World Economy. He obtained his PhD from the
University of Kiel in May 2007. Christian Merkl's research interests include labor economics, macroeconomics and the intersection of the two fields. He published in the American Economic Review, in the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, and in the Journal of Economic Literature. |
